Two dimensional photoelectron spectrum of N20 (white: low yield , yellow: high yield). Vertical bands represent particular vibrational levels of final ion states. Intensity variations along these vertical lines indicate both the variation of the direct photoionisation cross section for the particular level and the indiect resonant population of that level by highly excited neutral autoionising states. Horizontal lines across the spectrum indicate the possible decay routes of highly excited neutral autoionising states.
